Gallery of Models The MCM can be taken to the stable and used beside the horse to show precisely the location and extent of the injuries. Dr Albert Sole of The University of Queensland’s Equine Hospital is using the model to explain the ultrasound image of pathology to the superficial digital flexor tendon. Students of veterinary science at the University of Queensland learn anatomy of the equine distal limb with Prof Chris Pollitt. Students find the MCM enhances their 3-dimensional comprehension of the complex anatomy of the region. Anatomy students annotate a tablet photo of the MCM creating their own notes for future revision and learning. Dr Jo Holt of the Equine Podiatry and Lameness Centre, NSW, Australia, uses the MCM to help identify distal limb structures visible on the ultrasound monitor.
